Love the look of the game! The controls and overall player control feels very receptive. The few things that need a bit of work on are probably the way the enemies follow the player and the settings/credits menu taking you straight to the game instead of another page. But overall it's quite enjoyable to play!
Why my pc can't 60 fps this game.
Well well. This game is really polished
It has nice graphics, sounds and the Controls are responsive.
But there is alot of glitches and bad design choices
Ill start off with the weird slits that are seen in the next video (When i was playing the camera was stuttering but in the video it is not i might just be crazy)
Second of all is when you jump on the enemy it knocks you away but if you hold the right button (assuming that the enemy is to your right) you will just continuously bounce on the enemy which is really annoying and not fun.
Last problem i have a video off of is the little mehanic where the players "spirit" goes back to the last safe space after hitting a spike (In the video the background is stuttering + i cannot revive so i had to reset the game. Also the little spirit interpolation (LERP) is way too slow)As you addresed in the video some of the enemies and spikes are hard to see and it happend to me on multiple occasions that i jump on some random spikes. A Teal color for the background would look gorgoeus and would not be too distracting (just an reccomendation)
Downward slash as seen in hollow knight would really fit this game + would eliminate the problem of boucing on enemies and dying.
Overall this is a promising games but some design choices are not the best.
I'd like if the attack button was one of the buttons on the keyboard instead of the mouse (I'm using a laptop and it's tough to play) other than that, good game.
Oh, Thanks
Hello!
I played the game for a bit and I'm going to give some feedback:I love the sound effects for the player, especially the landing sound but the enemy's shuffle sound gets really annoying.
I also don't like the way the enemy's try to follow the player. I think you should make them patrol the platforms instead.
Also, when you die to a spike, the time it takes to respawn is a bit to long. I like the particle effect, just try to cut down on the time.
I also recommend adding 4 way attacking, letting the player pogo of enemies, because it will add lots more movement opportunities and it can make the level design a lot more fun knowing the mushroom can bounce of, say, other mushrooms or spikes.
Anyways it's great so far and incredibly polished for a game that has only been in development for a few months!
Love what you guys are doing!
Keep it up!
